About Us

The main objective of the Faculty of Law UWI Rights Advocacy Project (U-RAP) is to promote human rights, equality and social justice in the Caribbean by undertaking and participating in human rights litigation in collaboration with human rights lawyers and civil society organizations. U-RAP is currently engaged in constitutional litigation in the English speaking Caribbean, challenging laws that undermine the human dignity and human rights of sexual minorities. U-RAP also undertakes and supports legal and social science research that furthers knowledge about human rights and the protection of human rights in the Caribbean.
